Continuation of a letter from our president, Heidi Heinz

My first Christmas tree purchase in Seville was quite an odyssey. After a fruitless search in all sorts of grocery stores (after all, that’s where we buy them in Texas), I discovered that in Spain it is your local florist that will provide you with this particular...flower.  The second surprise came with their size – a little on the small side for this Texan. Nevertheless, they have been getting better, and I remain committed to my annual quest of finding the best tree in the city, although I will settle for one that will last us through Three Kings’ Day.

The Belén and the Christmas tree sitting side by side in my house remind me that traditions, either lifelong or newly acquired, are what make the holiday season special.
